Is there a place in England called Manchester?

I had to do this project on a place in the UK and I made a huge mistake because on my map it said this place called Aberdeen was on England.(If i find out who made that map, im gonna sue him!) I asked a question here and a buch of people said Aberdeen is in Scotland. I just want to make sure that this place is really there. and don't be all "No you american its in this place." IM ONLY A KID!!! how the **** AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW! answer ASAP. oh and if Manchester is in England, then can you give the weather and temperature there? I only want to know these Q's: does it snow there, how many times does it rain in a year. thnx!!!
