NHS waiting times in Scotland?

You should have had a letter confirming your need for an appointment from the hospital when you were first referred, and then really should have had another proper letter by now with a date. I know from personal experience in England, that one can now get an appointment online as the GP sends an email straight to the hospital, gives the patient a password, and it's all much simpler. I'd be surprised if it was very much different where you are. Tell your GP that you haven't heard anything yet (don't mention your phone call!).
