Would it matter what university you went to? or is it only the degree important?

say i went to a university which isnt a very famous one or one which had lower entry requiremnets. would that lower my chances of getting a better jobs? for example the uni of aberdeen you'd need 2 a's and 2 b's for biomedical science, robert gordon you'd need 2b's and a c. would it still be the same?
